- Carara National Park is a recommended stop to see Transition forest between the Dry Forest in the north and the Rain Forest in the south. Some trails in Carara are accessible by wheelchair, and very flat
- Stop at the Tarcoles River Bridge to see dozens of crocodiles. Some of them are more than 4 meters long
